SUMMARY:

[Recap of "Shell Shocked"]
Carlos is finishing up repairs on the Red Galaxy Glider, as the other Rangers head to their Mega Bedrooms to get some shuteye. All that is except Andros, who is conducting a scan of nearby galaxies for any lifeforms with DECA's help. We learn what it is he's scanning for when he takes out a tiny memory disk, containing on it some sort of home video type footage of him as a child along with his sister, Karone. It shows the two playing together in a park area on KO-35, and soon Andros wanders off after a toy, leaving his sis behind. As the drama unfolds on the viewing screen, Carlos walks onto the bridge and quietly witnesses the private moment from Andros' past without saying a word. It soon reveals the events of Karone's abduction by some by a mysterious monstrous figure. Andros knows he must find out who that is that kidnapped Karone, and until he does he will never stop searching.
[Opening credits]
Carlos lies in his Megabed, unable to sleep and thinking of the video he just saw. Andros is done scanning for the time being, and goes to get some sleep, when DECA informs him that a lifeform has been detected in the Karova system, planet KO-35. He quickly thinks his sister might have returned home, not knowing the colony was abandoned years ago! He has the Megaship set a course for his old home sweet home. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Professor Phenomenus drives like a maniac in his van, briefing Bulk & Skull on the subject of how alien come to Earth as seedlings. This discussion causes Bulk to hallucinate via a vivid imagination, where one such seedling egg hatches in his lap into a slimy claw and attacks him! Skull screams in horror at the sight, which turns out to be in reality just Bulk's own hand trying to kill him. The Professor soon pulls over to inspect what looks like a watermelon patch, but only according to the untrained eye as believes them to be alien pods. Long scene short, in an attempt to force the aliens out of a watermelon, Phenom yells and shakes it, passes it around, Bulk tosses it up in fear, and it lands on his head. No alien pods this time, just seedless pulp all over the bumbling threesome. Elsewhere, The Megaship reaches KO-35 (which resembles Aquitar in hindsight). Andros sneaks off to the jump tubes without waking anyone, and telemorphs down to the planet surface (he seems to have jumped off his Galaxy Glider a little too soon, because he lands flat on his stomach). Once in the middle of abandoned city, he proceeds to call out for Karone in the deserted cityscape. Meanwhile, a newly restored Ecliptor is lurking around on the Dark Fortress. He silently watches over Astronema as she sleeps in her chambers, speaking only to let out a slight chuckle and wish her sweet dreams. Soon he ventures to the control room where Elgar is sleeping standing up. Clipty turns on the viewing screen, and is a bit surprised to see Red Ranger back on his home world. Ecliptor makes a brief mentioning of the effect that he was involved in destroying the sanctity of the planet in the first place, running the KO-35ians off into hiding. More on that in later shows.

Carlos is awaken by DECA, and he bumps his head on the top of his Megabed. The others are also up, ready to eat a healthy synthetic breakfast. Carlos notices the Red Galaxy Glider is missing from where he left it after repairs, and learns from DECA that Andros used it to go down to his homeworld of KO-35 while they were asleep. Carlos explains the entire situation of Andy's sister Karone to Ash, Cass & Teej, and they're stunned at this secret their new friend kept for so long. Carlos decides Andros has been gone too long and takes off after him by himself while the others try wrapping their brains around the bombshell he just dropped. While on KO-35, Andros uses his AMScanner for search for any lifesigns, but he's being watched by a crafty Clipty. Suddenly, Ecliptor makes a grand entrance by liquidized teleporting right behind him, confronting his longtime enemy! Ecliptor taunts Andros by calling his homeworld a deserted dustball. They question each others motives for being there, which immediately leads to a heated battle! Tossing aside his cape, Ecliptor begins to beat Andros into the ground, and against steel girders severely. He then throws Red Ranger into a nearby pool of water, yet Andros shrugs off his losing position and remarks he found the bath quite refreshing. Ecliptor is once again angered, detaching his own head, which swings around in it's own, eyebeam blasting Red Ranger! Nearby, Carlos is on their trail with his own AMScanner. Andros is now being bombarded by Ecliptor's head while the body strikes him with an Ecliptsword! Both the added firepower of the Spiral Saber & Astro Blaster can't defend Red Ranger from the malicious onslaught from Clipty. Just as he appears down for the count and about to be skewered by the green grid warrior, Black Ranger tears through some kind of glass window, jumping in and beating Ecliptor off of Andros. Ecliptor returns the favor by spouting a Cyber Shadow-Head, which fires a barrage of lasers at Carlos, wounding him severely! Andros grabs Carlos' smoking and wounded body, asking him what he's doing there, and Carlos spits out that they're a team. Red Ranger is forced to retreat and take his teammate back to the Megaship laid out on his Galaxy Glider. Andros vows to return to finish this fight with Ecliptor, whom awaits it anxiously.

As the Megaship still orbits KO-35, Carlos is in the Mega Infirmary, patched up and getting some rest as the Rangers tend to his injuries. Andros feels guilty over this, despite the others telling him it wasn't his fault. They also try bringing up the fact that what effects one of them, effects all. Andy shrugs off the notion of being a team once again and storms off by himself. Is this incident with Carlos strangely familiar to something in his past? More on that in future shows, but right now, he's overcome with an urge to seek revenge and justice on Ecliptor, running to his Jump Tube and telling DECA not tell anyone where he's gone. Telewarping to the empty cities again, he wanders around calling Clipty out for a showdown. Ecliptor's voice echoes about, tormenting Andros' current need of teammates to fight his battles. Talk about your surprise attacks, Ecliptor has grown huge again and stomps his foot right behind an unsuspecting Red Ranger! Andros tries to prove size doesn't matter by jumping up with his Spiral Saber to take on Hugecliptor, but Clipty puts the literal smack down on his butt. On the Megaship, the Rangers realize their new leader is missing, and when DECA doesn't respond to the request of his location, they figure it out for themselves and rush to their Jump Tubes. Red Ranger gets scorched by Hugecliptor's explosive fire breath, just as Blue, Pink & Yellow Rangers Galaxy Glide onto the scene, firing their special weapons at the green grid giant! This buys them time to hop down and drag their weary friend to safety amid the abandoned buildings. Just as things seem grim, Black Ranger stumbles toward them! He's a little weak still from his injuries, but ready to help take Ecliptor down with the rest of his team. They head out to an open area and fire their Astro Blasters at the king sized Clipty, but they do no damage. In a pinch, they have Alpha 6 fire the Megalasers at him from above the planet, and it proves to be too much for him after his recent explosive encounter with the Megazord, so he retreats offscreen. Everyone is happy over their victory as a team, except Andros, who was fooled by Ecliptor into thinking he may have found his sister here on KO-35.

Andros works out on some weird space exercise machine, when Carlos stops by, healing nicely (his arm is a little tender, but while you'll never have to hear of his injury again, it'll remain one of his biggest fears in one way or another.) Andros uses his telekinesis to hand himself a towel now that his workout is finished. Andy apologizes to Carlos over what happened, but there's no need to apologize. Carlos reveals his knowledge of Andros' search for his sister, and tells him the Rangers will do everything they can to help him find her. That's what a team does for each other after all, and he's a pretty big part of it now. Andros is finally accepting his role in the Power Rangers, shaking his teammate's hand and smiling for the first time in quite some time.
