CAPSULE SUMMARY:

Cogs are lurking in an Angel Grove junkyard, building a new machine-monster, named Silo, from various parts lying around. On the Machine Empire Skybase, Orbus gets an upgrade, allowing him to make King Mondo's creations grow to epic sizes. Klank, Orbus' companion, also gets a reluctant technical modification, thus giving them both a reason to be out on the field.

In Angel Grove High School, Rocky & Jennifer, his partner on a science project, work on a new computer game together. He hits on her, but she's constantly cold to him, and spends most of her time stressed out about every little bug in the game. The game features two characters that resemble the forthcoming Silo monster, firing upon each other when one can't answer a questions correctly. Jennifer gives Rocky the password to the game software system, and entrusts him with the safety of their surefire "A".

King Mondo, watching the goings-on in the lives of the Ranger teens, is inspired to use Rocky & Jennifer's software to program Silo. He sends down a fleet of Cogs, which ambush Rocky & Adam in an alleyway (featuring the famous line "Whose side are you on, anyway?", "I'm on the side of true love!", "Oh, please, I wanna keep my lunch down, okay?"). They fight the drones off with help from their Zeo Powers, but one gets away with Rocky's backpack. It returns to the Angel Grove High Study Hall, and uses the password Rocky had written down to gain entry to the computer and to download the game software. It cog-ports over to the junkyard, and inserts the floppy into the makeshift monster built from scrap.

Meanwhile, Lt. Stone brings Bulk & Skull out into the junkyard, having been alerted to recent break-ins in the area, and has them stand guard. Silo awakens and scares the bumbling duo away.

In the Power Chamber, Billy has finally completed the new Battle Helmets for the Zeo Megazord (Billy notes "Man, we could have used these back in the old days!", to which Alpha replies "Yes, it's a shame you had to get by with only bows & arrows"). The alarm goes off, and Silo's missile menace becomes apparent. In the Youth Center, Tommy does some karate training with Tanya & Kat, which Rocky & Adam drop by, revealing their Cog diversion. They're then called to battle, Morphing into Zeo, and teleporting to the junkyard, finding King Mondo waiting for them! He introduces them to Silo, who blasts a few missiles at them, knocking boulders their way. The Zeo Rangers use their Laser Pistols for the first time, not that they do any good. Mondo thinks it's time to get a height advantage, and has Klank spin Orbus around & around before flinging him at Silo.

Orbus infuses the metallic monster with a size boosting energy. Zeozords are called upon, they comes together into the Zeo Megazord rather quickly. A few punches exchanged, Silo soon chains up the Megazord, drags it up into space, and launches it at the sun! Thankfully, Billy's new Zeo Battle Helmets are uploaded and in reach (though roles reversed this episode from last, Alpha fears they'll backfire because of lack of testing, while Billy is all for using them right away). Each enhance the Megazord's abilities: Green has Zeo Gravity Power, Yellow has Zeo Rocket Power, Pink has Zeo Cannon Power, Blue carries Zeo Pyramid power, and Red is the standard Zeo Warrior mode we normally seen on its head. The Green helmet, with horns and all, is activated, Adam takes the main cockpit seat and uses the helmet to regain control of the Megazord. Then Tanya takes the seat, and uses the Yellow helmet, with dual rockets on it, to steer the Megazord away from the sun. The Zeo Megazord returns to Earth, kicks Silo around, and slices into him with the Saber. Tommy powers down the "warrior mode" and lets Kat take the seat, using the Pink helmet, with one large cannon on it, to give Silo a taste of his own medicine. Rocky has the final turn, taking the chair and taking charge of the Blue helmet, which resembles a pyramid. It causes Silo to be lifted up and down in a blue energy field. He powers the helmet down, Tommy pops his back up, and the Zeo Megazord Saber charges up to send the "scrap heap back to the junkyard".

The software gone, Rocky comes clean with Jennifer about losing the password, but manages to get the diskette with the program on it back from the junkyard. Their project saved, Jennifer still chews Rocky out when he asks her to a dance. She finally calms down and talks about how the grade in the class means a lot, for the college she wants might give her a scholarship. They shake hands and promise to be friends, she's too busy Friday but offers a raincheck for the dance. In other words, no dice, Rockwell!
