At the Angel Grove Baseball field, Adam, Rocky, and Shawn (Tanya's boyfriend and captain of the baseball team, see "The Shooting Star") are batting up a storm in practice. Tanya shows up on the sidelines, and Adam comes over, calling Shawn "the sultan of swat", the Babe Ruth-nickname unknown to her, as is Babe Ruth! When a fly ball almost hits Adam in the noggin, Tanya reacts instinctively and grabs the ball out of the air with ease. All who witnessed it are stunned, especially the coach of the baseball team. He's impressed by Tanya's natural pitching ability, and has her take a shot at pitching a ball at Shawn. She perfectly strikes him out, much to the dismay of her man's ego.
On the Machine Empire Skybase, King Mondo turns to his henchbots for ideas on defeating the game-playing Rangers. Prince Sprocket tries to prove his worth, by coming up with a plan to send down his own pitching machine that pitches very special balls, that upon being hit, captures the person inside of it. King Mondo is proud of his son, for now.
At Angel Grove High School, Kat congrats Tanya on making the baseball team. Shawn gets ridiculed by his two teammates, who call him the "sultan of squat" and talk about how embarrassing it must be to get struck out by your own girlfriend. He drops by the Study Hall and talks his problems out with Adam, Tanya & Kat. Adam notes that nobody could have hit it the way she was pitching, but Shawn arrogantly denies the charge, saying he wasn't concentrating enough. Tanya's offended by his brushing aside of her natural talent, and storms off.
Elsewhere, Bulk & Skull get assigned with "Operation Refuse Removal" at the local Adventure Landing by Lt. Stone. They're given garbage bags & pointy sticks to do the job, and surprisingly, they both seem excited by the trash pickup assignment. Nearby, Rocky, Adam, & Shawn plan to meet at the batting cages for some practice the morning of the big game. Sprocket sends down a few Cogs to turn the batting cage's pitching machine into his evil device. Of course, Bulk & Skull wander in first, neglecting their task to bat a few balls. Lucky for them, Bulk misses every ball, and both soon leave when the other three show up. Shawn forgot his glove, so he departs, not wanting to get a blister before the game. He leaves Rocky & Adam to the batting cages, Rocky's first swing hits the modified ball, and captures him inside of it! Adam soon encounters the pitching machine's true form, the People Pitcher monster. He fires a few blast-balls at Adam, keeping him distracted as King Mondo & Queen Machina send some Cogs down to take Rocky's Zeonizer out of his backpack. Adam's helpless to save it, and soon contacts Billy on the Communicator.
The situation is debriefed, and the four remaining Zeo Rangers Morph and head over to the other side of the park. No sign of Rocky, but they do find the monster he's being contained in, as People Pitcher attacks them. Prince Sprocket reveals these details to them, thinking his plan so flawless he also states that they can't free him without his Zeonizer. The Zeonizer is with the Cogs, so a quick chase breaks out in the fun-filled Adventure Landing theme park area, namely the bumper go-cart ride section. Cogs race around the tracks as Adam scrambles to snatch up the Zeonizer. He gets overrun by Cogs, and tosses the Zeonizer to Tanya, who races through a playground and then passes it to Kat, who rides on a peddle-powered waterboat. She then passes the Zeonizer to Tommy, who hops in a racing go-cart, only to have the People Pitcher blast at him and soon suck Red Zeo Ranger up into him. Inside the mechanical belly of the beast, Tommy hands Rocky his Zeonizer, and he Morphs into Blue Zeo Ranger. They start reversing the gears surrounding them, and are able to cause People Pitcher to spit them both up. The five Zeo Rangers regroup, and take on a gang of Cogs. Our heroes use their special Zeo Weapons, though none get named this episode! People Pitcher is attacked next, and is taken down by Rocky's "Zeo 3 Power Spin", where he lifts into the air and flips over & over into a blue power-blur, and launches into the monster. The entire team joins him in jumpkicking the monster, causing him to explode. Klank tosses Orbus off at the remains of the creature, and cause People Pitcher to grow to new heights.
The Zeo Megazord links up and gets to fighting People Pitcher. He bats the Megazord around for a while, until Rocky pulls out the Zeo 3 Battle Helmet. The pyramid forcefield lifts the monster up and down, smashing him on the ground. That's enough payback for Rocky, Tommy retakes control and initiates the Zeo Megazord Saber. People Pitcher suddenly spews air at the Megazord, but it doesn't prevent the Rangers from Saber-slicing him, sending the People Pitcher "back to the minors" as Tommy puts it.
It's the big Stone Canyon at Angel Grove baseball game! Ernie's on commentary, and Tanya's on the pitcher's mound. Tommy, Kat, & Billy sit on the stands with the cheering crowd. Long game short, Tanya helps the Angel Grove Tigers kick butt, as well as show off her own in those tight white jeans. The winning out is caught by Rocky, in the outfield. When the game is won, Shawn jealously puts Tanya down about how she almost blew the game in the 9th inning. Adam speaks up for her, noting she only had a one run lead and the offense was sucking. Shawn backs down and says they'll discuss this all later, but Tanya's had it with his bad attitude. If he can't support her success & skills, then they're through. They break up, and Adam tells her he thinks it's cool how she stood up for herself. He also notes the Shawn "Didn't deserve her", thus fueling the Tanya-Adam shippers out there for the first real time. They hug, and the other Ranger teens rush up to help celebrate the victory. Tanya is never seen playing Baseball again.
