Renegade reacts, then points and rushes forth, Chromedome & Hornbot following, then more mutants races forth. Dirt bursts erupt in the quarry around Dark Heart, he soon escapes into a rocky beach, then passes along the river's edge as water bursts erupt near him. Dark Heart then hides beside a rock for a moment, then presses onward, heading into the tall grass again, pausing soon to look up, seeing Fighterbot swooping around. Dark Heart treads cautiously, then spots Tankotron and Cannonnose ahead. So he heads the other direction, but the pair spot him and fire upon him. Dirt bursts erupt around Dark Heart as he rushes through a field.

Dark Heart rounds a corner with a hop, then stops, seeing four mutants ahead. He drops down and fires his rifle on them, bursting behind the foursome, but they recover. Slashbot then talks a little.

Dark Heart slaps his rifle to his hand and looks up, as Spitbot leaps in. He rifle butts him away, does the same to one of Fistbot's fists, then aims and fires on Fistbot, bursting him down, where he rolls and explodes. Spitbot extends his arm, grabbing Dark Heart's rifle as he struggles with it, getting pulled and rolling across the ground twice, before Dark Heart turns and fires upon Polarbot on a nearby hill. He rolls to the bottom and explodes, as Dark Heart keeps fighting for control of his rifle. Slashbot rushes in with his saber, sparkily slashing Dark Heart, as Spitbot releases his grip on his rifle, so he rolls to the ground ,smoking. He gets in a crouch and looks around, when Magician leaps in, he dodges, then leaps up and fires, bursting Magician down. Dark Heart blocks Slashbot's blade with his rifle, then breaks off, goes to fire, then ducks when he slashes, Wolfbot leaping past, Dark Heart spinning around in a daze. Renegade lurks in the nearby grass, his pistol ready. Dark Heart dodges and spars with the three mutants, until Wolfbot spews energy binds that wrap around him. Dark Heart keeps fighting, Renegade takes aim on him and fires, bursting until he falls and rolls down a hill. At the bottom, Renegade takes aim again and fires, bursting his helmet until it breaks open, and he falls over.

VR Ryan leaps in and fights Chromedome & Hornbot until they're out of the frame, he then turns and hops up and chops the chain suspending Dark Heart in the air. He falls to the ground, VR Ryan rids him of the chains and sits him up, talking to him. Dark Heart slowly reaches into the bushes, then suddenly whips out his rifle, aims it forth, and fires upon VR Ryan, bursting him. He rushes over and points the rifle at him point blank, VR Ryan talks, then spots Renegade entering the scene, with a pair of Mutant Drones hauling in the real Dark Heart between them. VR Ryan reacts, Renegade talks, VR Ryan responds, Renegade speaks a bit, VR Ryan replies, Renegade speaks again then aims his pistol forth, VR Ryan reacting, as does the real Dark Heart.

Renegade holds his pistol forth and prepares to squeeze the trigger, VR Ryan stands there, real Dark Heart breaks out of the Drones' hold, then kicks Renegade in the calf, knocking him down. VR Ryan kicks the fake Dark Heart, knocking him down. Real Dark Heart swipes Renegade's pistol before kicking him away, then dives, fires, and bursts fake Dark Heart. Renegade pulls out his second pistol and goes to fire on VR Ryan, when Dark Heart rushes in and takes the blast for him, bursting but firing back and missing as Renegade dives out of the way.

With Dark Heart in a bad way, VR Ryan lays him down, then departs.

VR Ryan leaps up, charges up his hand, and energy chops into Renegade, causing him to crackle and writhe. VR Ryan rushes over to Dark Heart, who collapses dramatically, shielding him as Renegade explodes nearby. VR Ryan then notices Wolfbot and a Mutant Drone in the distance.

More mutants race forth.

VR Ryan leads Dark Heart through the grassy hill down to the VR Turbo Cycle, places him against it, then turns to face Wolfbot, who leaps in, kicking him away. Invincible Blade tries to grab Dark Heart, but VR Ryan punches him off. VR Ryan hops his cycle, and drives off with Dark Heart in the sidecar. They drive through a field, mutants trying and failing to grab them as they pass. Tankotron & Cannonnose fire, dirt bursting around the VR Turbo Cycle, but failing to stop it.
