[Today On MMPR; Opening Credits]

The setting is Angel Grove Lake, where Rocky patrols the lakeside as the studliest life guard this side o'David Hasslehoff! A youngster named Dougie talks with his little friend about his fear of going into the water, because he thinks there are monsters out there! His friend assures him that the Power Rangers protect Angel Grove and wouldn't let anything happen to him, but still the little chicken of the seas refuses to go for a dip. Bulk & Skull, who are clad in their patented black & white striped swimsuits, overhear the kids talk about the Rangers protecting from monsters and get a dastardly idea to find out the Rangers' identities! Rocky tries to get Dougie to go into the lake, promising he'll look out for him, but still the rugrat won't go. Lord Zedd is watching them, like usual from his throne on the moon, and decides to send down some of his (and Rita's) best (I use that word in stride) underwater Monsters to attack the Rangers all at once.

Rocky is still standing around being a life guard, waiting for Pamela Lee to show up. Aisha and Billy meet up with him, and Rocky tells them about Dougie. Billy can relate, since he once had a fear of the water. (fish rather, see "Something's Fishy" from season 1) Aisha remarks that the other three Ranger teens are off scuba-diving and will be showing up soon. Next we get the most overused stock footage ever, three Rangers underwater. It was used in season 1 for Trini, Zack & Jason, and was REUSED during the introduction episodes of Aisha, Rocky & Adam. Hopefully someone hunted the master copy of this down and burned it. Anyway, at the Lake, what appears to be two sharks out in the water begins to scare people off. Billy and Rocky, riding on a jetski uncomfortably close, head over to it and discover it's just Bulk & Skull trying to pretend to be monsters so the Power Rangers will show up so they can find out their identities. Rocky gives them a stern talking to and the two Ranger teens head back to shore to report the false alarm to Dougie who probably peed his swimming trunks. In case you missed it, the scubadiving footage is reused AGAIN, same poses, same everything. Goldar informs Lord Zedd of the three Rangers being underwater, so Zedd recreated Slippery Shark to attack the three onshore. Footage we've seen before is shown again, as Sharky tele-jumps around. Zordon & Alpha catch wind of this and call the Rangers to go and stop him on the other side of the lake. Aisha, Billy & Rocky ditch Dougie and Morph to the other and luckily abandoned side of the lake. There, the three Power Rangers duel it out with Sharky in a scene obviously stunt directed by that guy, wasshisname, Jack Prudant or something. It doesn't take long for Zedd to recreate Toxic Goo Fish, and Pirantishead (who was his first monster he ever made originally) and send them down to join in the fight. (watch for Pirantishead to start doing the twist when he makes it to Earth) Zedd finally recreates Commander Crayfish to join the crowd. Yellow, Blue and Red Rangers start to fight the incredibly stinky foes, but are outmatched and know they are gonna need help soon!

Red Ranger can't stand this group of seafood, and keeps bugging Alpha to contact the other Rangers. Alpha tries and tries and finally gets ahold of Adam, Kim, and Tommy who are just now coming out of the stock footage... uhh I mean the underwater Scuba Diving trip. They all Morph and join the others in the battle of the fins! With the upperhand quickly going to the Rangers, and the fishy four getting their scales whipped, Zedd needs a new monster, so he spots Bulk & Skull's huge blue & white striped innertube and decides to use it. It's teleported right from under the bumbling duo, leaving them way out in the middle of the relatively shallow lake. They strain as they swim to shore, not thinking they'll make it. Zedd tosses one his Bombs down at the Tube Monster, who grows to colossal size and attacks the city via Dairanger footage. Zordon & Alpha witness this going on and quickly call in the Rangers to fight him. White Ranger stays behind to mop up the pu-pu platter of leftover villains while the other Rangers call forth the Thunder Megazord! After a very minor punching fight between the Tube Monster and the Megazord, the Power Sabre is powered up and the horribly designed monster explodes, leaving a fiery blaze on the nearby buildings in it's wake. Elsewhere, White Ranger goes toe-to-toe with the fishy foursome, armed only with his Morphin powers and his big ol' blade Saba. After a pretty smooth couple of slices, the Fishes are filleted and ready to serve back into relatively nothingness. Zedd is ultimately angered at this complete failure with the grouper group. He never wants to see fish ever again, but Goldar informs him they're having fish for lunch! (since when does Lord Zedd eat? HOW can he eat?)

Back at Angel Grove Lake, Bulk & Skull continued threading water. Their innertube that was recently blown to a million pieces reforms near the shore, but they're still a few yards away. Skull has a leg cram and Bulk is tired. They're about to drown, when Dougie spots them and is the only person on the whole beach to actually WANT to save Bulk & Skull's life. He swallows his fears of monsters, grabs the innertube and swims out to save the dodo brained duo. They're pulled to land and Dougie is proclaimed a hero. Aisha, Rocky & Billy appear on the scene and get on Bulk & Skull's case for almost drowning because of Zedd's teleporting their tube out from under them. Bulk pulls a fish from his underpants and it squirts water on him. Everyone laughs. Billy assures us this ep was NOT for the seafood lover in you. Goodnight!
