SUMMARY:

[Recap of "The Rangers' Leap Of Faith" & "Dark Specter's Revenge 1 & 2"]
We begin the episode, midbattle as the Rangers take on an Owl Creature in what appears to be a basement. It seems the Rangers asked Mister Owl one too many times 'how many licks does it take to get into the center of a Tootsie Pop'. He flipped out, went evil, and now the Rangers are using every one of their Mega Weapons to battle the wise old monster! They're able to knock him over on a crate, which causes him to grow (it must have had some 'Satellaser stew' in it). The Rangers rush out, and TJ gets to call for the Astro Megazord. It's formed, and comes down to give Hootsy a real lesson on cleaning up litter! Few blaster blasts, and shield deflecting moves later, Andros has the Megazord shoot out an "Astro Saber Laser," which fries the bird just in time for thanksgiving. Give a hoot, don't pollute!
[opening credits, Zhane's Galactic Rover scene removed.]
Andros sits aboard the bridge of the Astro Megaship, staring into his locket picture of him and his sister. He flashes back to a never before seen scene from "The Ranger's Leap Of Faith," where he & Karonema were talking in the Engine Room together. She asks him if she's what he expected, but he's just happy to have found her. She's not sure just yet herself, she'll need time to sort it all out in her confused head. Andros tells her they have all the time in the world now, and the flashback ends, Andros now still in a somber mood after losing her once again to evil forces. Ashley walks onto the bridge, and spots Andros still in grief, and decides to help her (we assume) boyfriend out. She puts her arm around him, and tells him her idea of taking a break on Earth. Despite his desire to stick around & mope, she pulls him away from sulking and soon all the Ranger teens are at the Surf Spot once again. Adelle brings food for our young heroes, mentioning she thought they dropped off the face of the Earth. They ignore Adelle's plot hole ponder, and eat, Cassie commenting that real burgers can never compare to that Synthe-crap. Suddenly, the teens hear an electronic beeping. They think it's their communicators, but Andros checks to find nothing. The real culprit behind the sound lies in the girl sitting near them (Mandy, Bobby's little sister from PRT's "The Rival Rangers"). Ashley quizzes her former dance student about the device the girl has, a Copernicus 2000, a little computer date book/calculator thing, which upon inspection by the Rangers also makes a sound similar to our heroes' communicators (now you see why they should have kept the "Go Go Power Rangers" sound! Yeesh).
Soon, Cassie & Carlos go up to get some drinks, when they catch a news report on TV. An incident occurred in the Angel Grove Warehouse District, tearing through a building like a tornado. The reporter goes to interview a witness, when the Power Rangers walk onto the scene! Wait a second, how can the Rangers be in two places at once?! Carlos & Cassie are stunned, as these Ranger doubles walk up to the News crew, and open fire with their Astro Blasters! Luckily, the bystanders are just barely miss most of the blasts, but these evil impostors (with blood red replacing the color blocks on their chests) are relentless in their attacks. The real Power Rangers Morph on over, and confront these evil twins, whom all talk in eerily echoing voices. The Dark Rangers quickly attack the real deals, each color taking on their counterpart! The baddies are obviously much stronger, beating back the good guys with relative ease. The evil Red pulls out a weird blade, which Andros uses his Spiral Saber to combat. After a swift kick from evil Red, the fight moves from the debris littered outside, to the Sentai encrusted inside of the warehouse, where Red Ranger continues getting trashed by the bad Red. Meanwhile, the evil Blue Ranger pulls a "Psycho Spin," using his twisted version of the Astro Ax in a terrifying twister spin on TJ! Cassie's Satellite Stunner only causes her Pink doppleganger to disappear and then reappear with a deadly bow & arrow set, firing all the way! Neither Ashley's Star Stunner, nor Carlos' Lunar Lance can put a dent on their evil doubles, as our heroes regroup together, beaten. Their wounds smoking, but their spirits withstanding. The evil Rangers finally make their big reveal, and after a lightning bolt blast, there stands the evil Rangers' true forms, as the twisted Psycho Rangers! The Power Rangers stand shocked, watching these horrible mirror images walk towards them.

The Psycho Rangers continue their evil march, touting they're faster, stronger, smarter and better than them, but much more evil! There's a separate color counterpart for each of the five Rangers, each Psycho-licious! The team of Psychos rush to beat the snot out of our heroes, finishing off the fight with a firm grasp of their helmets, drawing energy information from the Power Rangers! With this maneuver, they seem to learn everything about their powers. Is this the end for our heroes? Not yet, as out of a digitalized jump tube, there transforms a Galaxy Glider into the Silver Cycle, riding on it is the Silver Ranger, who tears through the warehouse wall on his bike! The morphed wonder fires bolts from his headlights, getting rid of the Psycho menace. He rushes to his friends beaten side, all thankful he's there, but wondering where their twisted twins went. That question will remain unknown to them for now, but for us, we follow the Psychos to the Dark Fortress, where they meet their maker, Astronema! She's pleased they've tapped into the Ranger's energies, and soon they'll know each of the Ranger's thoughts, moves and powers inside & out. She sends them back down with that knowledge to destroy the Rangers permanently. Psycho Red, and his fellow Psychos teleport down to Earth, and stand atop the city, scanning for any signs of the Power Rangers. Speaking of which, somewhere in Angel Grove, Ashley & Andros discuss their recent encounters with their new foes to each other. Worried & scared about what info their diabolical doubles may have on them, they head back to the Megaship, just as nearby some goofy human begins playing with his Copernicus 2000. It makes a sound like the communicator going off, alerting Psycho Black! He & Psycho Blue go to rough up the human, thinking him a Ranger, only to find out after a negative brain scan he's nothing but a norm! Strike one, and now Psycho Yellow detects a Power Ranger herself! Psycho Pink joins her, while Yellow blasts a car with her Psycho Slinger. Once the door is ripped off, it's revealed to be not a Ranger, but two old people using the Copernicus 2000! Strike two for evil!
Meanwhile on the Megaship, Cassie, Carlos & TJ learn from DECA that the Psycho Rangers are attacking random people on Earth. TJ thinks correctly, that they're trying to find Rangers, so he uses his Astro Morpher to contact Zhane, who's on Earth searching with his AMScanner at the market. Zhane talks to Teej on his Digimorpher, being sure to keep an eye out for the Psychos attacking innocent people looking for Ranger treasure. Speak of the devil, Psycho Blue & Black appear, having heard Zhane's communicator go off. They easily subdue the Silver Ranger, and bring him to the others, not knowing Zhane dropped his AMScanner. On the Megaship, Andros figures out that annoying handheld computer is the cause of the trouble, and urges his teammates not to use their communicators, for it may alert the Psychos to their presence. TJ realizes his blunder in calling Zhane, so he and Andros head down to the Market, only finding Zhane's scanner and no trace of Zhane!

Andros & TJ rush back to the Megaship, and have everyone run a scan on Earth, trying to find Zhane. Ash spots his signature, at what she says is an old library, but looks more like the Hillhurst Mansion! Inside it, Zhane is bound & gagged, tied to a chair, as he regains consciousness. The Ranger teens teleport down, and try running to the library, but an invisible shield prevents them! They can't Morph, or else the Psychos' will find them out, so Andros has a plan to distract them. Psycho Red thinks he's found some Ranger activity, so he & the rest of his twisted team do their neat jump teleports to race after the Megatank, which is cruising through the streets! The Psycho Rangers blast it off course, but when they crack it open, they only find a beeping decoy, but no one inside! This distraction let's the Ranger 'Rocket' into their Morphed forms, and giving time for Red Ranger to use his Spiral Saber to break open the force field! The Psycho Rangers are quickly aware of their actions, and get their evil butts over to the library, just in time to bounce ahead of the Rangers. Despite the overwhelming power of the Psycho Rangers, the Power Rangers press on, ready to go through their evil dopplegangers to help their friend. It seems Zhane doesn't need help, as he knocks over a large clay pot, and it shatters on the floor. He tips over his chair, and grabs a shard, using it to cut the ropes around his hands. Outside, the Rangers are literally getting the sparks beat out of them by their Psycho doubles! If individually they weren't tough, the twisted team stands together, and focus their energies on a huge powerful attack blast. It smashes at our heroes, giving them a dose of what their twisted twins are made of! Meanwhile, Zhane breaks free of his bonds, and runs to the aide of his friends again, whom are getting a second wave of Electric Shock Psychotherapy! Just as the Psycho Rangers close in for the final victory of destroying the Power Rangers, they are suddenly teleported away, disappearing from sight against their own wills! All five Rangers, weary, beaten, sparking with their suits torn, fall to the ground. Zhane finally finds them, and helps them to their feet, time to get back to the Megaship. The Psycho Rangers may have won the day, but one battle does not a war make!

On the Dark Fortress, the Psycho Rangers angrily report to Astronema, mad over not being let to finish off the Power Rangers when they had the chance. Astronema announces they'll finish the Rangers off when she decides and when Psycho Blue objects, the much more evil & powerful than ever Astronema gives them all a purple jolt! She stands tall, as their creator and master, she's the boss & they'd better not forget that. They learn nothing on why she's delaying the inevitable, and storm off to wherever they stay on the Dark Fortress. Ecliptor is curious as to what his princess' plan is, and heads into her chambers to ask her. She reveals the Psychos are powered by Dark Specter himself, which means they're powerful enough to destroy the Rangers, and while doing so, slowly drain Dark Specter to nothing! Ecliptor seems a bit overwhelmed by this plan, if he hadn't been reprogrammed he might try talking her out of such treachery. The Brainwashed Astronema wants to be the one & only grand monarch of evil, and she'll resort to back-stabbing the baddest baddie of all to be it!
