 Rescue' Planet
On the red planet of, umm, Redplanetar, I guess, Stingwingers are busily nailing down chains. The chains are securing giant cage boxes, and other Stingwingers hold onto ropes attached to mysteriously growing red eyed things inside. They're Galactabeasts, you'll find that out later. Stingwingers fall over, get back up, fall down again, while others hammer. Repeat. Finally, we go over to Terra Venture, where in some garden, Leo & Maya are spraying plants. She seems rather adjusted to 'futuristic living,' and is pretty handy with that electric clipboard. She stops in her tracks, hearing the howling of the Galactabeasts, and knows someone (or thing) is in trouble. Off she runs to the opening credits.
[opening credits, adding only Amy Miller as Trakeena.]
Damon pulls up on his little Venture Vehicle buggy car, to the Horticulture Research Center where he meets Leo & Maya. Maya's obsessed with the sounds she heard through millions of miles in space and through several tons of glass. Damon is reluctant to use the Astro Megaship for their mission to save whatever needs help, and all the way to it, he complains that the navigation systems are down, engines are barely working, etc. He either doesn't seem to be a very good mechanic, or is just stalling. Maya knows her way through keypad doors a little too well, so it's safe to say many weeks have passed since last episode. Once inside, Kendrix & Kai are on the viewscreen, complaining about procedures to be followed. They're whispering, for fear of being heard and getting in hot water. Leo pretends they're breaking up and shuts off their transmission. Damon performs a miracle and hyper accelerators are online. The Megaship takes off (whoever's providing clearance is awful lenient), and Maya keeps an ear out to find her wayward pets. They spot old Redplanetar, rush off to teleport down (I doubt the Jump Shoots still work), and Alpha scares the life out of the audience by finally speaking.

Oops, they teleported down and there's no breathable oxygen! They die. Sorry, Kidding. Okay, so they're wandering in the woods, Damon's using some little doohickey to track them, but Maya's keen sense of hearing is quicker and more reliable. They spot the cages and Stingwingers taunting the beasts, and Maya goes off to provide a distraction. Over by the cages, Brunt (name provided by close captioning, they get things right sometimes) is ordering the Stingwingers around, hoping to get promoted to head General by Scorpius for doing a good job. Brunt looks to me like recycled parts of various monsters, but once Maya catches his attention, he rushes off with his buggy troops to catch the wily jungle girl. She swings from well placed vines and does all but beat her chest.
Brunt
Once the baddies have vamoosed, Leo & Damon head in to try to free the beasts. Chains are too big, and the locks are too complicated, and the beasts are getting restless. Maya goes full circle having lost Brunt, but just as Damon is about to crack the code, energy blasts knock them down. Here teleports another General of Scorpius named Radster. He talks like Elvis, and could probably kill you with his stiff hair. Our three heroes "Go Galactic" and Morph into their fancy Ranger suits. Radster wipes out his shishkabob stick of death, when Pink & Blue Rangers appear on the scene, striking him. How in the name of Zordon's blue fanny did they get there?! I guess they walked. The Ranger pull out their Quasar Sabers, and take on Radster and his army of Stingwingers. Fighting ensues, and the Rangers then begin taking care of the chains that bind the cages. Each Ranger takes down a chainlink, and the cage doors begin to open wide. Out steps from each Galactabeasts, Green Condor, Blue Ape, Pink Wildcat, Yellow Wolf, Red Lion, all magically delicious. Bigger than a breadbox, but full of meat, they stand there looking intimidating and growling, causing Radster to run away with his Stingies. The Rangers are in awe of the beasts, Damon worrying they'll eat him. Maya assures them they're friendly, and she understands them. They thank the Rangers for the rescue, and one day they'll return the favor. The Galactabeasts teleport themselves away, but leave messy surprises behind in their cages. Up in space, the Scorpion Stinger ship slinks through the inky blackness, and inside Scorpius fries Brunt for failing him. Poor guy runs off into whatever lies in the rest of the slimy dwellings. Furio is called for next, and Scorpius still wants those Quasar Sabers, so he'll be the monster to do it. As the pug-uglies talk, Trakeena, daughter of Scorpius, watches from afar. The Stinger approaches the area of where Terra Venture is currently floating.

Radster
Inside Terra Venture, alarms sound as the alien ship approaches. Citizens make a panicked run for it, obviously still scared from the last time they dealt with aliens. People run around screaming and falling over boxes, and a lady and her son look dumbfounded. The Scorpion Stinger spouts out two beams of energy, which reform near that lady & kid into Furio & Radster. Rad loves the roominess of TerraV, but is in the mood to zap something so he shoots off some stock footage of buildings blowing up from "Countdown To Destruction." Amid the rioting and debris, GSA Troopers arrive on the scene, led by Commander Stanton. Tons of them surround the monsters and fire with their laser rifles. This does no good, so the Troopers fall back and more buildings blow up. The Astro Megaship is cruising through space, still far from TerraV (So how did Kai & Kendrix get there so quickly?!) but once they witness the monsters attacking on the viewscreen, Kai & Leo rush to the controls to get the Megaship moving. Both of the hard headed Rangers want to take command, but it's Damon who runs the show, grabbing the controls and taking a hyper rush charge. Back on Terra Venture, the Troopers try a direct approach, ganging up on Radster and attempting to fight him, but it doesn't help, and they get stomped on. Suddenly, five streaks of multicolored light bounce around the skies, before settling atop a nearby overpass. It's the Power Rangers, as pointed out by that mother and child. Furio makes his exit, telling Rad to get the Sabers no matter what. The Rangers rush him, fight a little, trying to protect the Troopers while they're at it. Leo ends up with Radster, off alone in Gingaman stock footage land. They fight, Radster wants the Sabers and they throw each other around the street. Leo shoots fire from his hands, which only makes the crabby baddie even more crabby! Red Ranger finally gives the monster what he wants, pulling out the Quasar Saber and charging it up. With one quick flame stroke, Radster explodes and falls down.
The other Rangers unite with Leo, but Radster is up and ready to play for keeps. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a huge bottle of green kool-aid. He chugs it down, and grows to building size, impersonating Elvis all the way. Too big to fight, as proven when Leo leaps up to try and gets smacked down, the Rangers can do nothing but get stepped on. That is, until the Galactabeasts appear across the road, knocking over Radster. I can only wonder why Terra Venture has a blue sky and clouds, but I guess that's just a little artificial environmental thing. The Rangers are giddy, and happy they saved them now. The Galactabeasts howl, growl, crush pavement, and toss dirt all over the once clean city. Radster recovers from the beasts dramatic entrance, and is ready to die. The Lion takes forever walking closer to Radster, and when he finally gets there, Maya tells Leo he should combine powers with the beast to help beat old crab face. Red Ranger reluctantly hops atop the Lion's head, and suddenly, fire ignites. Is this love at first sight, or did the Lion bath in gasoline? Neither, they're powers are combining (and combusting) as the Rangers cheer their unofficial leader on. Finally getting used to thing, Leo & The Lion fire things up, just as Radster shoots off a laser with his little gun. Lion fires off a trail of fire from his mouth, obviously a fan of Mexican food. The flame goes against Rad's own laserbeam, and finally overpowers it, turning back on Radster and torching the monster like charcoal on a Sunday. Not a really good idea to be blowing up monsters inside a frail space colony like that, but the Rangers are excited, as are the other Galactabeasts. This is the start of a powerful friendship, and the Rangers cheer some more, as the beasts stand around looking like guys in costumes.

The Scorpion Stinger swoops through the galaxy, with Furio meeting Scorpius again inside. Now that they know where the Rangers live, they laugh evilly and plan to get the Quasar Sabers and destroy the Power Rangers. Trakeena, our new buggy bad broad of the series, sits and comments that her father may have found a worthy General. Over on Terra Venture, in the kitchen of their quarters, the Rangers relax. Damon lays out a deck of cards and tells Leo to find the queen or do the dishes. He keeps getting any card but queeny. Maya stares off out there window, Kendrix asking her what she's thinking of, which is her homeworld Mirinoi. Wondering if she'll ever see that dead rock again. The two girls join Kai over at watching Leo fail miserably at finding the queen, when he pulls a sleight of hand, removing the queen from Damon's pocket. Everyone laughs, and Damon's stuck doing dishes. So much for futuristic society, why not make Alpha do it? He needs a hobby! Anyway, Kai tells Leo he made the right decision about going to rescue the Galactabeasts, despite breaking the rules and all. Leo chalks it up to luck, and tempts it by waging a card game to Kai, loser vacuums for a week. Kai first says no, but figures he'll teach arrogant boy a lesson. The other Rangers can't stand to watch, and are out of there, wherever "There" is.
