_CAPSULE SUMMARY:_

Throughout outer space, Pyramidas is flanked by several spaceships of the bounty hunting Varox. The Zord eventually is struck by a laser bolt, and crash lands on the watery planet of Aquitar. The sole occupant, the Gold Ranger, is rescued, and brought to the base of the Aquitian Rangers by Cestro & Delphine. Gold Ranger demorphs, revealing himself to be Prince of the planet Triforia, known as Trey. It's important he gets back to Earth, and despite the Machine Empire's attempts to stop a teleportation, he manages to be sent there properly, though not totally on target. Eventually, though, he's brought to the Power Chamber, but by then, he splits into his three forms (as all Triforians have): Trey of Wisdom, Trey of Heart, and Trey of Courage. His internal unity has become disrupted by the Varox attacks, and until he can reunite his three selves, he must pass the Gold Ranger powers onto another. Billy is chosen, but when the Treys attempt to enfuse him with the power, it's discovered that when the Command Center exploded, he was saturated in "negative protons", preventing the Gold Power from attaching itself to him. With time short, and the Machine Empire growing more and more aggressive, Tommy has an idea of another potentional candidate for the powers...

Meanwhile, during all of this, Bulk & Skull are hired by their monster-servants, Goldar & Rito, to find their "parents". They come up with nothing, only to have a package arrive at the agency, from none other than Rita & Zedd! Rito & Goldar, still amnesiac, think the two, from their holographic announcement of their return, are their mommy & daddy.
