_CAPSULE SUMMARY:_

Ernie's Beach Club is having a traditional Hawaiian luau. Tommy finally gets up the courage to start dating again, and plans to take Kat to said event, while Jason takes Emily.

But bigger ventures are being sought by those not of Earth. Prince Gasket & Archerina are back. They ambush Gold Ranger in the desert, with Gasket attempting to gain the Triforian powers for himself. Jason begins to discover he's growing weaker lately, though he tries to shrug it off as a coincidence of pushing himself too hard. Anyway, Prince Sprocket talks his big brother into having Orbus make himself and his wife grow large in a scheme to destroy the Rangers, and thus, impress King Mondo. Sprocket is basically baiting him into getting destroyed. Gasket falls for it, and after he & Archerina disrupt the luau, the plan is put into motion. There's a big battle between the Zeo Rangers and the giant Gasket & Archerina. It comes down to the Zeo Ultrazord blasting the couple, just as the effects of Orbus' making them grow wears off. They fall & explode, but it's merely for show, as they've teleported down to Earth, leaving the Rangers, and even Sprocket, to think they've been killed. King Mondo & Queen Machina know better, and when they confront the pair personally, Prince Gasket & Archerina back off from their plot to overthrow Mondo's leadership of the Machine Empire, teleporting away, never to be heard from, mentioned, nor seen again.

As for Tommy & Kat, with the luau ruined, they end up going out on a normal, boring, uneventual date, and that's just fine with them. Over on the Bulk & Skull side, it seems the Eyes Have It Agency hasn't had a case in weeks, resulting in the power being turned off and the place nearing bankruptcy. So, the duo takes a job for Ernie during the luau, and end up using permanent markers when doing their faces up in tribal face paint.
