CAPSULE SUMMARY:

On the set of the B-Movie entitled "Invasion Of Blueface", the spirit of Ed Wood is made proud by the cardboard sets and the cheap rubber monsters. Biff Starr, a homage to the square-jawed heroes of yesteryear, hams it up on the screen as he and his sidekick battle three monsters. The monsters (men in suits, of course, this time for real!), one a Pumpkin-chested creature, another a train monster, and a sink-headed creature (later on in Zeo named Leaky Faucet). Biff's ego gets the better of the sidekick, who suddenly quits. Rocky, Tanya, & Kat are on the set, giddy about being extras in the film, and we're supposed to believe they actually consider this film worth their time! Elsewhere, Lt. Stone does his friend (head of security on the set) a favor by having Bulk & Skull help out in guarding things. They turn all of their attention to the craft food service table. Klank (with Orbus) accompany Prince Sprocket to a location near the set. Sprocket plans to film his own "movie", and jealously wants the "Invasion Of Blueface" monster suits for his own. Video Vulture (a flying camera-headed bird) appears and supposedly films things from the air, for use in the Prince Sprocket directed "Invasion Of The Ranger Snatchers", the Zeo Rangers' final performance!

Comedically, Rocky, who thought himself a better actor than Biff Starr, ends up getting the replacement role of Sidekick Man. Meanwhile at the Youth Center, Billy has come up with a workout program using special biorhythm thingies for Tommy & Adam. He monitors their body's reactions as they spar. What purpose this serves the episode or the series, not even Billy's big brain can figure out. Anyway, Cogs show up on the Blueface set, and thanks to the nature of the film, they're mistaken for stunt actors. They end up facing Biff Starr, but lucky for him, Rocky's there to save the day and steal the show. The Cogs run off with the monster suits, but Blue, Pink, & Yellow Zeo Rangers chase after them. They're lead right onto the shooting location of Sprocket's film, where dozens of Cogs are awaiting their arrival. Rocky contacts Zordon, and he contacts Billy, Tommy, & Adam. Green & Red Zeo Rangers teleMorph over to back up their teammates. There's a huge (but brief) fight with the army of Cogs, and both Rocky & Tommy get good use out of their Zeo Special Weapons. Video Vulture swoops down and zaps the Zeo Rangers with his eyebeam, and sends the team into a weird sub-dimension. It's a foggy desert area, with a small checkered floor with art deco furniture all over it. It just happens to heavily resemble the same place the Rangers shot the "MMPR: The Movie: Behind The Scenes, Secrets Revealed!" special! Klank contacts the Zeo Rangers on a small TV set, and tells them what's up. They find they can't leave the Sub-dimensional wallless room (dubbed the Back Lot) thanks to a force field. The only way out is a door (which seems to have been swiped from the Pee-wee's Playhouse set) that leads to the Set of the "Invasion Of The Ranger Snatchers" film.

Back at the Power Chamber, Billy & Alpha try and fail to contact their teammates to no avail. Over at the evil studio, long story short, Red & Yellow Rangers enter the set together. They face the Leaky Faucet, who zips around and throws things and bites them with his big teeth and spews water at them. Billy & Alpha finally break through the close-circuit broadcast, and contact the other Rangers. Billy gets a plan to make the team change the ending to a happy one, which Zordon agrees with. Green, Pink, and Blue Rangers enter the set, and join up with their pals in hopes of making a happy ending. They discover there's a bus full of people careening out of control elsewhere in Movie World. The Rangers find a passageway to that part of the film dimension, and head off to save the bus. Somehow, they end up friggin HORSES! So the horse-riding Rangers save the people before the bus goes over the cliff, only to find the people weren't real anyway. The ending of the film is changed, Sprocket complains to Klank, who has a new storyboard drawn up to solve this problem. "Invasion Of The Ranger Snatchers" is back in filming, and from out of nowhere with no explanation, a Shower Head monster attacks the Zeo Rangers with his electric blasts. Leaky Faucet also joins in, dosing our heroes. Two other monsters are also seen attacking (one the Pumpkin Creature from the Blueface set, the other, a strange creature resembling a traffic signal with a body) along with Shower Head & Leaky Faucet.

Anyway, the four monsters warp together to create the Eye Train monster (the suit of which was seen on the Blueface set). Orbus is thrown and gives him a boost, making Eye Train huge. The Rangers call the Zeozords, there's a fight between the Super sized Train and the Megazord. The Train's tracks get cut by the Saber, and the battle is done. On the Machine Empire Skybase, Machina & Mondo are thankful the movie bug is out of their boy's system.

Later on the Blueface set, Rocky watches as his stand in, Skull, faces some stuntmen and gets squirted with blue goop. He loves show biz, everybody laughs, Bulk most heartily.
