SUMMARY:

[Scenes from "The Cobra Strikes," "Olympius Ascends," "The Queen's Return" & "The Omega Project"]

The small, compact Jet known as the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle swoops through the cloudy blue skies over Mariner Bay. Riding inside it is the Red Lightspeed Ranger, Carter, who pilots the advanced machine and relays the status report back to Ms. Fairweather through the comm-link in his helmet. He informs her that he's losing altitude and his engines are red line, so Miss F tells him that he's got to decrease his fuel pressure, since the temperature is rising too fast. Carter tells her he's got it, and flips a few switches. After a second or two, Red Ranger begins to worry aloud, "It's not working. I'm losing control! I'm going down!" Frantically swiveling the control sticks around, Carter panics as the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle begins to spin around in place as it dives towards the Earth on a collision course with the ground. Carter realizes he has to eject, and thankfully, there's a big red button on the console labeled for just such an occasion. Hitting the button, he then jumps out (I guess it's a self-serve ejection), and falls thousands of feet to his doom. No, actually just about three feet, as he lands atop a nearby cloud! Red Ranger stands up and catches his breath, the RMAV resting safely on a platform a few feet behind him. The surrounding clouds fade to digital hologramic static (SimuDeck tech, no doubt), as alarms blare out in the Weapons Lab, revealed as the true location of Carter and his new toy. He stumbles over to the RMAV and removes his helmet, this test running proving quite a strain on him. Several Lightspeed technicians are monitoring his progress a couple of feet away, along with Ms. Fairweather & Joel. Those two walk over to Carter, whose panting subsides as he's able to exclaim, "Man, that was intense! You make it look SO easy to fly." Joel, the resident stunt pilot on the team, gives Carter some advice on what just happened, "Simulations can seem pretty darn real. Don't worry. You'll get the hang of it." Fairweather makes the stress on Carter so much easier by telling him flat out, "Tomorrow you've got to fly the REAL Mobile Armored Vehicle. Are you going to be ready for it?" She puts her hand on his shoulder, as does Joel, who answers for his nervous teammate, saying, "He'll be ready." Carter nods his head reluctantly, buckling under Joel's peer pressure. Joel then takes the still Morphed but helmetless Carter off into the other room, leaving the RMAV Simulation machine to Ms. Fairweather, with plans to charge kids $.25 a ride on it in front of every Lightspeed Savings Center in the country.

[opening credits.]

The following morning, in the Aquabase Galley, Joel, Chad, and Dana sit a table together, finishing breakfast. Joel stares at his glass of what appears to be either chocolate milk or Kaluha, or both, as Dana shows off her Hooked On Phonics skills by reading a newspaper. Chad asks the Sky Cowboy, "So, is Carter ready for his first real flight?" Joel notes that flying that thing is going to be a handful, but Carter's ready (though notice, no explanation on why they just don't have Joel, the only pilot on the team, fly the thing, instead of a former firefighter). Speak of the Red Devil, Carter walks in and doofs around, until Joel shouts, "Hey, Ace! Over here!", like they're so hard to spot wearing the same damn clothes daily. Carter heads over to the table, greets his pals with a "Morning," and sits between Dana & Joel. He's then handed the glass of unknown liquid by Joel, and proceeds to slowly sip it. Dana, in an uncommonly giddy mood today, chuckles from her newspaper reading and lets her pals in on what she's laughing at, "Okay, here's a good one. Why did the hot dog put on a sweater?" None of the three Ranger Recruits can think up a proper punchline, so Carter asks her why, and she reveals, "Because it was a chili dog! Ahahaha!" The guys fail to get the joke, merely shaking their heads in shame at Dana's cluelessness. She notices, and ceases her giggling, claiming that she thought it was funny. Suddenly, Kelsey skates onto the scene, shouting Hi to her teammates as she enters the Galley. Why they continue to let her rollerblade around the Aquabase when it never causes anything but trouble, is mindboggling. Dana replies, "Hey, what's up?", and Chad says with a smile, "Hey, Kelsey!" Kelsey skates on in, rather quickly, with no regard to anyone in her way. The chef with the fake mustache and large glasses, known to the folks around the Galley as Lightspeed Boyardee, is cleaning up a nearby table. He turns around, and his plate with two bowls of leftover oatmeal ends up knocked over by Kelsey as she slams into him. Boyardee's right leg is covered in the substance, and the four seated Ranger Recruits get a hearty laugh from this. Joel points out to Dana, "Now THAT'S funny!" Kelsey looks at Boyardee with an innocent expression, apologizing. He grunts and hands her his dishrag angrily, and then storms off leaving Kelsey shrugging her shoulders, before bending down to clean up her mess. The laughter soon dies, and it's time to get a start to the day. Joel puts on his hat and tells Carter that today he's going to earn his wings. Joel walks by Kelsey, telling her, "Sorry, duty calls!" as he and Carter head off. Chad & Dana decide to be helpful and join Kels in on a fun round of "scrap the crud off the floor."

Over in the Transport Bay, the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle has been loaded onto the lift, and is being checked over by several nameless technicians. Ms. Fairweather & Joel brief Carter on the mission plan for today's test run, Miss F saying, "We'll check out all the flight systems. Power, navigations, weapons, maneuvers. Then return to base." Carter nods. Joel tells him, "Just go easy until you get the hang of it." Carter nods and says alright. He then gulps quietly and breathes deeply, as he makes his way over to the transport lift. The RMAV's cockpit, a tiny section at the top, pops up its black tinted visor, ala the Rangers' helmets. The lift is gently lowered, with Carter standing next to the RMAV, as he calls out, "Lightspeed Rescue," shifts his wrists around and hits his Morpher, Morphing into the Red Ranger once more. Once ready, he slides into the RMAV, laying down inside, likely grateful he isn't claustrophobic. Carter checks a few switches on the control console, telling Fairweather that everything looks good. She's standing next to Joel, watching as the RMAV is lowered. Red Ranger is ready to do this, giving a thumbs up, which is returned by Miss F & Joel. The two then go into the operation control room, Fairweather typing on the computer keyboard and Initiating Launch Procedure as Joel looks over her shoulder. Below, Carter flips some switches and presses buttons, as he replies, "All systems operational. Ready for takeoff." The Red Mobile Armored Vehicle is lowered to the bottom of the long, dark shaft, and becomes illuminated only by a spotlight. Carter engages the rockets, they're fired up, and with a sharp tug on the steering column, the engines burn even brighter at full thrust. The RMAV begins to speed down the corridor, the small round lights on the side blinking by faster and faster as takeoff is achieved. Turns out, the tunnel leads up to the raised Train Bay, as we see the RMAV pop out of the top of it in a blip of light, appearing to only move slowly through the air at first. Back at the Aquabase, Fairweather & Joel smile together about the successful liftoff. Carter thinks he's getting the hang of things, noting all readings are normal. In the computer lab, Fairweather claims all systems are in the green (and Joel misses an opportunity to make a wisecrack to her about how he wants her to do the same) and tells him he's doing great. The Armored Vehicle flies through the skies at a rapid rate, smooth sailing all the way for the Red Ranger. That is, until the Vehicle is rocked by a sudden explosion! Carter turns to see the cylinder on the side near the engine is cracked and sparking. He informs Fairweather of the situation, "My engines are malfunctioning and my gauges are going haywire!" Miss F gazes into a diagnostics screen, noting to concerned Joel that those readings aren't right! She urges Carter to find a place to land, and he does so, post haste, taking the RMAV down safely.

In the Lightspeed Aquabase, the alarms begin to sound, and a female voice is heard on the speaker system. She alerts, "Attention! Monster attack in the city!" Joel lets Ms. Fairweather know that "we're on it!", as he puts back on his hat and rushes off to join his teammates in action. Over on the streets of Mariner Bay, civilians scramble for safety as Olympius marches casually along with his newest monster, Mantevil, and a couple of Batlings. Judging by the amount of smoke and debris in the surrounding area, they've apparently been getting in quite a good rampage! Olympius grows tired of waiting, asking, "Where are the Rangers?!" Mantevil, your typical bluish mantis monster with a figure eight on his chest, growls, "They'll be here!" Sure enough, four of the five Lightspeed Rangers jump onto the scene, right in front of the two monsters. Pink Ranger gets to speak first this time, asking the age-old question, "What are you doing here, Olympius?!" He doesn't answer, but instead orders his Batlings to destroy them. The Rangers rush into battle with the Batlings, a battle so fierce and important, that we don't get to see but about five seconds of it before it's cut off. Elsewhere, over in the middle of the woods, Carter makes himself at home at his landing site. Having Demorphed, he lays out his Lightspeed Rescue Members Only Jacket on a small tree limb, as he gets down to business with the dirty deed. No, not moving his bowels, but rather, pulling out a small satchel from the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle, and preparing to attempt a repair job. The downed RMAV is still smoking, as Carter takes a small device from the Lightspeed Roadside Repair Kit, and removes the lid to the engine. He places part of the device inside the circuitry within the RMAV, checking the display monitor on the other end of the device. He shakes his head, the results not too good. Meanwhile, back at the battle, the Blue Ranger does a quick foot sweep and takes down three Batlings in a row. Chad then stands up, calls on his Battle Booster, it appears on his right gloved-wrist, he presses 8-4-5, and activates it. Each punch he throws into a Batling sends sparks streaming into the air, and causes the Batling to hiss in agony. Pink Ranger is getting a bit brave, taking on Mantevil in hand to hand combat, with no weapons! This doesn't last long, before Mantevil punches her and sends her whole sparking body backwards in the heavy metal railing. Back at the landing site, Carter continues repairs, when his Rescue Morpher gets a message from Kelsey, pleading for his help. He hops back into the Mobile Armored Vehicle cockpit, Morphing instantly before boarding. He flips a few switches, and hopes that had better have worked. Unfortunately, nothing stirs in the engine, as he flips more switches, pushes the throttle back and forth, and grunts frustratedly. The engine whirrs and refuses to kick on, pouring out more smoke, leaving Red Ranger helplessly grounded, miles from his team. Shouldn't there be a Lightspeed Towtruck in the area in case of a breakdown like this? You'd think they'd have the actual experts on the machine there to do repairs, rather than Carter himself, who can hardly fly it!

Red Ranger continues struggling with the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle's engine failure. He figures, "There's got to be a way to get these engines going! They need me!" He apparently has a small, silver framed viewing screen somewhere on the control console, where he's able to witness the battle he's missing. Now playing: Green Ranger rolls between two lines of Batlings on each side. Carter jerks on the steering column once more, before groaning in defeat, and slamming his fists against the RMAV. This causes the engines to finally kick on, prompting Red Ranger to lift off immediately, which he goes, the RMAV hovering into the air slowly. It then darts off into the sky quickly, the wind sheer blowing backwards into the forest causes Carter's forgotten jacket to shoot off the tree limb and collapse on the ground against a large rock. Once more at the battle, Mantevil tosses Yellow Ranger over the side of the stairwell. She sparks all the way down, landing amid the debris to the loving arms of her Ranger teammates, who've all been beaten back into this area. Mantevil apparently has them cornered, and snickers sinisterly as he hops towards them with evil intent. Blue Ranger calls on the help of the Rescue Bird, summoning it without pause. It fires off towards the battle scene, breaking up into its component pieces. In the Aquabase, Ms. Fairweather stares into a monitor, wondering, "Carter, where are you?" (I should add, Captain Mitchell seems to be missing as well, as most battles as usually watched from his station up in Rescue Ops!) Up in the air, Carter pilots the RMAV with careful attention to keeping his fuel pressure down. This isn't helping much, as the engines are still misfiring dangerously, and he's still got a long way to go. At the battlefield, Pink Ranger throws a kick at Mantevil, which allows him to grab her foot and flip her over. Blue Ranger rushes in next to get beat up senselessly. Olympius is just chillin' in the background, waiting for the proper moment to strike. The time is now, as he spots the Rescuebird swooping in, something he finds excellent. With all four of the Rangers busy fighting Mantevil, Olympius goes unnoticed as he pulls out a small device. Holding it in both hands, the device is activated, sending a wave of crimson energy into the sky, scooping up the Rescuebird and dragging it towards him instead of the Rangers. Chad witnesses this occurrence, and leaps up after the Rescuebird, trying to snatch it before Olympius can get it first. Blue Ranger is unable to reach the Rescuebird, which has apparently not only shifted itself into Unilaser mode on its way there, but has added its own Rescue Grip! The red tractor beam causes the Unilaser to land perfectly in Olympius' hand, to which he chuckles evilly and proclaims, "The Rescue Bird is mine now, Rangers!" The Power Rangers regroup together, with Chad calling out "Give that back!" Mantevil joins the fun, firing upon the team with whatever blast attack he's equipped with. They're stunned and taken aback, and while laying on the ground, Dana wonders for them all, "Where's Carter?!" Mantevil returns to Olympius' side, mentioning, "Now's your chance! Let 'em have it, boss!" Olympius is more than willing to take requests, gripping the Unilaser between his hands and exclaiming, "This is the end, Rangers!"

Meanwhile, Red Ranger curses the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle for its lack of speed. He bashes his fist against it again, causing the engine to sputter and spark unnaturally. At the battle, the Rangers stand up and face their doom, Pink Ranger begging, "Don't do it, Olympius. PLEASE!" Olympius aims the spiral barrel of the Unilaser at our heroes, and bids them good-bye, before pulling the trigger. A stream of energy bursts out, landing directly where the Rangers were standing. They're sent hurtling through the air as a massive explosion erupts in the wake of the Unilaser shot. Above and far away (did he take a wrong turn in Utah or something?), Carter watches his friends get pummeled by their own weapon, and can do nothing but whine helplessly about being too late. At the battle, Olympius & Mantevil approach the defeat Rangers slowly. Olympius clutches the Unilaser and gloats, "Mother is going to be so proud of me when she finds out there is only one Ranger left!" (he seems to have forgotten about Titanium Ranger, or else dismissed him for being out of the picture for the time being) The four Lightspeed Rangers struggle to arise, but cannot find the strength to move, each of them dropping limp on the charred floor, one by one. In the sky, Red Ranger notes while checking the RMAV's console, "These gauges are completely haywire!" Indeed they are, as Carter notices that he's suddenly engulfed in a vortex of purple and violet energy! He screams, while he and the RMAV turn into negative images, as they blast into a wrinkle in time, a tunnel between the fabric of time and space. It seems to last an eternity, as the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle spins out of control through the temporal disturbance, eventually reaching what appears to be the end, in the form of everything fading to white.

The white fades back to reality, as we find Red Ranger screaming in horror, back where it all started, in the RMAV simulation testing area of the Weapons Lab. He has just exited the Red Mobile Armored Simulator, and all the technicians are confused as to why he's screaming bloody murder. Joel & Ms. Fairweather especially, as Joel rushes over to try to calm his teammate down. Carter frantically takes off his helmet, the sweat having drenched his head, as he turns to Joel, looking like he's seen a ghost and saying, "Joel!? You're alive?!" Joel assures him, "Of course I am, it's just a simulation!" Carter disagrees, mumbling, "No... this was really happening.. I was trying to get there on time..." Joel continues comforting him on the bad effects of simulations, claiming, "Simulations can seem pretty darn real. Don't worry. You'll get the hang of it!" Ms. Fairweather makes the stress on the already uneasy Carter so much easier by telling him cautiously, "Tomorrow you've got to fly the REAL Mobile Armored Vehicle. Are you going to be ready for it?" She puts her hand on his shoulder, as does Joel, who answers for his sim-shocked teammate, saying, "He'll be ready." Carter blinks, and nods his soaked head reluctantly, buckling under both confusion and Joel's peer pressure. Joel then takes the still Morphed but helmetless Carter off into the other room, leaving the RMAV Simulation machine to Ms. Fairweather, with plans to charge kids $.25 a ride on it in front of every Lightspeed Savings Center in the country. Later that night, Carter is asleep on his bunk (located in the guy's Aqua Apartment, his bed being high above Joel's). He's a sweating machine today, as the droplets cover his face while he has nightmares of watching his friends getting killed by Olympius, as he saw in the simulation. After living it again in his head, Carter rises up in his bed suddenly, gasping for breath, his eyes wide open and fear bleeding from his being.

The following morning, sunrise greets the city of Mariner Bay. Down in the Aquabase Galley, Joel, Chad, and Dana sit a table together, finishing breakfast. Why did the hot dog put on a sweater?" Chad & Joel can't think up a proper punchline, but Carter knows the joke, saying in a non-humorous tone, "Because it was a chili dog." Dana's face freezes with shock, as she groans, "HEY! How'd you know?!" The other two guys join her in staring at Carter funny, apparently unclear on the fact it's a pretty old joke. Carter explains, "You told us that joke yesterday." Dana denies it, noting that she just read it in today's paper! Carter's face drops, and things get weirder for him. He takes the newspaper from her hands and looks at the date with astonishment, leaving his teammates baffled by his behavior. Suddenly, Kelsey skates onto the scene, shouting Hi to her teammates as she enters the Galley. Why they continue to let her rollerblade around the Aquabase when it never causes anything but trouble, is mindboggling. Dana replies, "Hey!", and Chad says with a smile, "Hey, Kelsey!" Kelsey skates on in, rather quickly, with no regard to anyone in her way. Carter slowly turns around, experiencing a Deju Vu on a massive scale (or common sense on a massive scale, either one). The chef with the fake mustache and large glasses, known to the folks around the Galley as Lightspeed Boyardee, is cleaning up a nearby table. He turns around with a plate with two bowls of leftover oatmeal on it, as Kelsey rolls his way. Carter shouts "Watch it!", and darts over towards Boyardee, pulling his plate out of harm's way as Kelsey just barely misses hitting him. She apologizes, and Boyardee thanks Carter ("extra meat-a-bolla tonight for-a you!"). Carter pauses, staring off into space as the gears in his brain begin to churn ever so slowly. Joel stands up and tells Carter that today he's going to earn his wings. He pats Carter on the back and leads the way, as Kelsey skates over into Carter's seat, joining Chad & Dana at the table with no cleanup to be done.

Then return to base." Carter mouths her words, realizing he knows them already. Joel tells him, "Just go easy until you get the hang of it." Carter is silent with his discoveries of repetitiousness, until Ms. Fairweather asks him if there are any questions. He explains to her, "Miss Fairweather.... Ever since yesterday's simulation, I, i've had this feeling like... like i've lived this day before." Miss F states, "Simulations can be very disorienting. Just stay focused. You'll be fine." Carter nods, taking in her advice and shrugging off any doubts. He then walks proudly over to the lift, though still showing signs of dread and ominous foreboding on his face, especially if things keep going as planned!

The Red Mobile Armored Vehicle pops out of the top of the raised Train Bay in a blip of light, appearing to only move slowly through the air at first. In the cockpit, Carter thinks he's getting the hang of things, noting all readings are normal. The Armored Vehicle flies through the skies at a rapid rate, smooth sailing all the way for the Red Ranger. That is, until the Vehicle is rocked by a sudden explosion! Carter turns to see the cylinder on the side near the engine is cracked and sparking. He informs Fairweather of the situation, "My engines are malfunctioning! My gauges are going haywire! Ms. Fairweather, I knew that would happen!" Back at the computer lab, Miss F gazes into a diagnostics screen, noting to concerned Joel that those readings aren't right! She urges Carter to find a place to land, and he does so, post haste, taking the RMAV down safely into a wooded area. The Armored Vehicle is smoking up a storm as Red Ranger hops out and removes his helmet, taking a good look around as he recognizes the location. Carter exhales, as his Rescue Morpher beeps, and Ms. Fairweather comes on the line, telling him, "You've got to check the power circuits!" Carter answers softly, "Yeah. I know." He takes his time walking over, placing his helmet on the Vehicle, and crouching down behind the exhaust ports. Glancing up for but a moment, Carter does a double take as he spots something laying over in the distance behind a rock. He hurries off towards it, discovering it to be his Lightspeed Rescue Member's Only Jacket! The same one he's wearing underneath his Morphed suit, in fact. How did his jacket end up in two places at once, instead of taking over its day-previous self's form like Carter did? Was the rock it landed on the Rock Of Time in disguise? Or did the malfunctioning RMAV leave a residual effect on everything Carter wore while improperly fixing the power circuits unmorphed? Methinks the latter. Anyway, Carter finally recalls his out of control dive out of time, confirming to himself that it was no simulation, and that he's gone back in time! His Morpher beeps, and it's Kelsey is begging for his help. Carter knows the attack is happening again, so he quickly rushes back over to the RMAV, screaming into his Morpher, "Ms. Fairweather! You've got to stop the Rangers!" Unfortunately, she's not at the communications console when he calls for her, and the alarms sounding in the Aquabase prevent her from hearing him! Miss F is busy informing our heroes, "Rangers, i've maxed out your Battle Boosters. Go for it!" Of course, as we saw, only Chad bothers using them!

At the battle scene, Pink Ranger tangles with a few Batlings, until Mantevil appears and beats her up against the metal railing. Soon, she's tossed over the side, rolling down the hill of the Centennial Plaza stunned. Blue Ranger uses his Battle Booster, pressing 8-4-5, and activating it. Each punch he throws into a Batling sends sparks streaming into the air, and causes the Batling to hiss in agony. Chad is succeeding in kicking some Bat-tail, until Olympius wanders over and blindsides him! He tells Chad that he won't be needing his Battle Booster anymore, and proceeds to snatch it off his wrist (the detachable surface of it sliding right off the wristband)! Olympius then smacks Blue Ranger, sending him sparkily exploding to the floor. Over in the woods, Carter pleads, "Don't send in the Rescue Bird! Can anyone hear me?!", into his Morpher, to no avail. Fed up and running out of time again, Carter puts on his Helmet again, and hops into the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle, hoping to get to his teammates before they call for the Bird. Luckily, one quick flip of the switch is all it takes to get it running, and the RMAV lifts off with ease, and intense speed. At the battle, Green Ranger leaps into the air, lunging for Olympius, who does the same. Of course, Olympius merely aims his sharp shoulders at Joel, and he's downed painfully without protest. Mantevil tosses Yellow Ranger over the side of the stairwell. Olympius is just chillin' in the background, waiting for the proper moment to strike. The time is now, as he spots the Rescuebird swooping in. The red tractor beam causes the Unilaser to land perfectly in Olympius' hand, to which he chuckles evilly and proclaims, "The Rescue Bird is mine now, Rangers!" The Power Rangers regroup together, with Chad calling out "Give that back!" Mantevil returns to Olympius' side, mentioning, "Now's your chance! Let 'em have it, boss!" Olympius is more than willing to take requests, gripping the Unilaser between his hands and aiming. The four weary Rangers stand up and face their doom, Pink Ranger begging, "Don't do it, Olympius!" Olympius aims the spiral barrel of the Unilaser at our heroes, and bids them good-bye, ready to pull the trigger.

He almost does, when he's suddenly blasted in the arm by something in the air! The four Rangers look to the sky, Dana spotting their savior and shouting, "It's Carter!", and Chad exclaims "Alright!" The Red Mobile Armored Vehicle drops from the heavens, with Red Ranger piloting and promising, "I won't let you down twice, guys!" Upon spotting the shiny new weapon descending from above, Mantevil whimpers, "Uhh, boss, I just remembered something I had to do!" He scurries away, fleeing from the scene, leaving Olympius dumbfounded so much he merely holds the Unilaser in his hand, rather than firing it like he should. Carter aims the RMAV at the monsters, pressing the buttons on the control sticks and firing missiles. The two silver torpedoes on each side of the RMAV are launched, both unable to strike the moving target known as Mantevil. Carter laments missing, and swings the Mobile Vehicle around the other direction and offers Mantevil to "Try this!" as he fires again. Apparently, it has several missiles, instantly reloading, as two more strike down, both hitting directly on target! Mantevil is swallowed by an ocean of explosions, the massive fireballs enveloping the demon completely. Red Ranger swoops down so fast near Olympius, that the wind knocks the Unilaser from his hands, and knocks him down with it! The RMAV spins around in the air, as Carter shows off how he's mastered both the flight controls, and the destiny of the Lightspeed Rangers as well. Olympius stands back up and boasts, "They haven't beaten us yet!" Nearby, the Rangers are awed, Chad remarking, "Look at him go!", and Joel noting, "Do it, Carter! That guy can fly!" Red Ranger gives them a thumbs up and thanks them, as he takes off over the city like a rocket. Olympius is getting ignored quite often today, and manages to leap into the air to follow the Red Ranger.

As Carter soars through the sky in the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle, he gets some turbulence in the form of Olympius! The demon prince may have wings, but they need not to flap, as he hovers through the clouds smoothly, firing his double bladed staff at the RMAV. The chase is on, and thankfully the RMAV takes the hits without breaking down or sending Carter back to 1955. He plans to show Olympius who he's messing with, by diving down steeply. Olympius follows him down, blind with rage. Carter aims the RMAV at a large mountain apparently near the beach, and quickly flips a few switches, shouting, "Hyperspeed!" Red Ranger lowers his head, as the top to the Mobile Vehicle closes shut over him. Descending at an accelerated rate, Carter quickly pulls up without warning, causing Olympius to slam directly into the side of the mountain. He doesn't explode or make a huge crater, but instead rolls down the side of the hill in pain. He arises once more, yelling, "You will pay for this!" as the RMAV circles around him and takes off back towards the city. Carter lands the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle back in the plaza center, and is greeted by his teammates as he hops out of the Vehicle successfully. Dana commends Carter on the great job, Joel thumbs up to his nice flying, Chad notes he got here just in time, and Kelsey doesn't know what would have happened to them if he hadn't shown up. Carter puts his hand on her shoulder and says, "Believe me, that's something you DON'T wanna know! I'm just really grateful I had the Mobile Armored Vehicle with me." He pats the RMAV, and his teammates take a good look at it up close. Meanwhile in Skull Cavern, a card is tossed into the demonic head statue's mouth. It's a portal to Mariner Bay, apparently, as the card ends up landing on the barbecued remains of Mantevil. Jinxer casts a spell, "Your're not done yet, Mantevil. Queen Bansheera you still serve, rise and give the Rangers what they deserve!" The meaty remains are reanimated, and grow to a colossal size, giant sized Mantevil now wielding a blue hooked chain! Red Ranger calls on the Omega Megazord, it comes online. Apparently, the Max Solarzord is up in outer space as they speak, and is carrying the Rail Rescues. The Omegazords pop out, transform around and lock together until they form the mighty Omega Megazord. It twirls its missile-tipped staff while charging up with bright energy, once completed.

The Omega Megazord lands in the middle of the city, the place looks quite a mess. Mantevil laughs nastily as he closes in for the kill with his hook, prompting Carter to strike first with a double-slash attack using the missile-staff. Mantevil merely takes the hits and keeps on ticking, tossing energy bolts off at the Omega Megazord, doing some strong damage with only one hit! The entire Omega cockpit is rocked, the Rangers are shook like dice in a casino! Kelsey claims, "My readings show he's too strong for us now!" Joel adds, "We've got to find a way to get more Megazord power. Got any ideas, Carter?" Red Ranger answers, "Yeah. Lightspeed Solarzord, online!" The Max Solarzord and Lightspeed Megazord combination is already combined and ready to go, landing in the city in the blink of an eye. Not only that, but Chad is piloting the Supertrain Megazord all by himself (a far cry from the day when it took all five of them to run that puppy). It lands on the tracks and prepares for battle along with its two Megazord brothers. Mantevil just prances around like a loon, while Carter goes at maximum power with the Lightspeed Solarzord's massive arsenal of laser weapons. Mantevil is struck, and hurt badly. Chad fires the Turbines, dumping both arms worth of... arms into the demon. He drops his hook-chain, and begins to spark. The Omega Megazord doesn't get a second chance to fight, as Mantevil keels over instantly, exploding into smoke and ashes, and a commercial break.

Inside the demonic dwelling known as Skull Cavern, Olympius faces his mother, the partial bodily form of Queen Bansheera. He bows and states that he is sorry, to which Bansheera growls, "You disappoint me!" Olympius tries defending his case, claiming it wasn't his fault since the Red Ranger had a new weapon. She silences him, claiming there is no excuse! Olympius bows again, promising, "I WILL do better next time, mother!" Notice as he walks out of the misty column filled room, a small pedestal is in the foreground. Wasn't that the one Olympius would lay on as Impus all the time? Hmm. Elsewhere, at the Lightspeed Aquabase, the Red Mobile Armored Vehicle is loaded onto the Transport lift again, as the technicians are busy doing extensive repairs. Carter enters and calls Ms. Fairweather over to chat. She quickly begins explaining, "We've replaced all circuits and fuse panels. You shouldn't have any more problems with it." Carter calls this "great", and i'm left wondering just which one of his Jackets he's wearing. The time displaced one or the dinky regular one? Anyway, his teammates enter the room, Chad leading the way and saying, "Hey, you're just the man we're looking for!" Dana remarks, "That was some pretty fancy flying up there!" Carter puts his hand on Joel's shoulder and replies, "Well, I learned from the best!" Joel modestly agrees, "So true. Anyhow, I figured you earned THIS." He extends his palm out, and Kelsey places a small cowboy hat (small in relation to Joel's, at least) on his hand. It's got a dark red band around it, of course. Carter takes it and smiles while saying, "You shouldn't have... Really!", prompting everyone to laugh. Kelsey notes, "Now you're a Sky Cowboy, too!" They laugh, and Carter does a hat trick, flipping it over his palm and onto his head smoothly, before brushing his fingers across the brim. Expect Carter to end up leaving it out in the woods sooner or later...
