SUMMARY:

[Recap of "Shift Into Turbo, Part 2"]

Tommy is continuing his newfound love of the track, by race training. Driving around in circles to the tune of "Overdrive", Tommy rides the stock in footage you will definitely see again soon. Elsewhere at the Juice Bar, the after graduation party has wound down, Tanya, Kat & Adam wondering how their absent leader is doing with his training. Tanya asks Kat if she found out about that student teaching job she applied for yet. Kat is happy to inform her she'll be tutoring the incoming freshman class. Mr. Kaplan comes walking in, with some related info about Justin's equivalency test. The results were passed along to him, it seems Justin is somewhat of a prodigy. He scored so high, he'll be attending Angel Grove High School starting this fall as a freshman! His friends congratulate him, but little boy blue doesn't seem too shocked at the news.
[opening credits]
Amid the gold & jewels littered about the bridge of the Subcraft, Rygog cheers at the prospect of Earth being defenseless in just a few minutes. Elgar is anxious for his fellow mutant to get a move on the attack, Divatox pushing him out of the way and ordering Rygog to do just that. He prepares to launch a full scale offensive attack on Angel Grove, soon nothing with stand in Divatox's way! Back at the Juice Bar, Justin finally takes in the full reality of going to high school. He's not even tall enough to reach the lockers! His friends assure Justin he'll be just fine, when their Communicators go off. They sneak off and teleport over to the Power Chamber, and upon arrival they notice their alien pal from the movie, Lerigot, is there! They ask him about his family, and he states they're "good. Baby big". Tanya tells him he didn't have to travel all this way just for their graduation. Zordon corrects her by saying there is more to it, Alpha slightly sobbing, the Rangers asking what's wrong. Zordon finally breaks the news to his longtime human friends, Lerigot (whom is the master of unlocking interdimensional gateways and such) has returned to give him his freedom from the tube based time warp. He'll then journey back home to Eltar to join his own family after such a long time away. He knows it is difficult, but the time to bid farewell has come.

Under Angel Grove Lake, inside the Subcraft, Porto runs as fast as his little blubbery legs will take him. He has news for Divatox, that he's monitored another being traveling through the wormhole toward Earth. She takes a look at who it is herself through the Periscope, and sweats bullets upon viewing the person! She gives the orders to Elgar to begin ground maneuvers to keep the Rangers busy, while Porto finds a way to close that wormhole! The mad scientist is cautious about such a daunting task, but plans to do as his queen insists. Meanwhile in the Power Chamber, the Ranger teens can't believe their longtime mentor, along with Alpha 5, is leaving them! Tanya worries about who will cover their backs, but the big blue head has already made arrangements for a replacement. Soon on the Subcraft, Porto has quickly worked out a plan on closing the wormhole. He presents to Divatox a bug eyed monster named Amphibitor, who had been waiting impatiently back on Liaria for them to call him to action! Amphibitor will place a device on Earth that will cause the wormhole to close, Divatox orders him to get going and do it. In the Power Chamber, Lerigot has the teens form a circle to prepare for the embarking of Zordon. Kat wants to wait for Tommy, thinking he would never forgive himself if he missed this, and speak of the devil, Tommy teleports in. He had already been informed on the situation and wouldn't miss it for the world. Lerigot finally begins, raising his Golden Key, which glows with it's mystical energies. Zordon says good-bye to the Rangers, telling them to know the power is always within them.

Meanwhile, Amphibitor places the device down, and activates it, a beam shoots out and strikes the wormhole. This causes the alarms to sound in the Power Chamber, interrupting the ceremony. Zordon looks on the bright side and figures he can possibly return home another time. Justin doesn't want him to miss his chance at a homecoming, Lerigot giving an expression that looks like he's taking a Liarian dump in his robe. There's even more problems arising at the moment, as Zordon tells them to observe the viewing globe (screen, whatever). Elgar is driving toward Angel Grove in his own mutant-monster truck, accompanied by four other evil vehicles (apparently nobody in them, at least that we see)! This is an even matched job for their Turbo Zords, so it's Shift Into Turbo time! The four teenagers (and Justin) Morph, and board the Turbo Vehicles they draw their powers from. Racing out to the scene of trouble, they encounter Elgar and his crew, boasting he will not be stopped. The Turbo Rangers get the full feel for their Turbo Zords, this being the first time they've seen real action in them (An extended instrumental version of "Calling For A Hero", mixed with a little "We Need A Hero", from the Turbo Soundtrack plays through the entire scene). Tommy's Red Lightning gets tailgated by one of the monster trucks, a giant claw clamping down upon his rear bumper! Unable to shake the wheeled warrior off him, Justin swings Mountain Blaster around and plows right through the evil truck. One down four to go, Kat's Wind Chaser may have some intense speed, but there's one of the mutant vehicles right behind her. She turns to get a look at it, not noticing the other one right in front of her before it's too late to swerve away! While at the Power Chamber, Alpha ay-yi-yi's about the wormhole in space closing. It's dissolving at an accelerated rate, there's nothing Zordon can do but wait for the Rangers to try and stop Amphibitor's device before it's too late.

Pink Ranger is out of options, quickly flipping a switch for Wind Chaser Split Mode! Her power car separates into two pieces, driving right around the evil automobile in front of her, causing the one that was on her tail to smash right into it! Two take down at once, Wind Chaser reconnects together, Kat wiping her brow from that close call. Justin comes up on a bump in the road, hitting the accelerator and making his power vehicle take the jump into the air. He slams back down, enjoying the ride just a little too much, Kat telling him to calm down. She flips a switch again, and begins docking sequence, Wind Chaser splitting up again. It drives straight for Mountain Blaster, which locks between the two halves roughly. The impact is shaky, causing Kat's airbag to go off in her Zord! Soon, both Justin & Kat's Turbo Cart looking seats slide back into the main Turbo Megazord cockpit. Pink Ranger exits her seat and approaches Justin below her, still amazed at this new Megazord. Tanya & Adam are coming in, swerving around and getting Dune Star & Desert Thunder into position. Tanya notices how much fun Justin seems to be having in this linkup, Adam chalking it up to a kid enjoying a new toy. He reminds her she did the same thing when she got hers. Dune Star & Desert Thunder batter against each other, having a little trouble linking up. It looks like a tough way to dock, Kat hopes they'll get better at it. Justin knows they sure can't get much worse! Tanya & Adam try again at docking, driving closely side by side, and spinning around in unison. While they drive backwards, Justin approaches with his double decker Zord combo, the front fender popping up. As a monster truck fires laserblasts off at them in an attempt to deter the Megazord transform, the four Vehicle Zords finally lock together. Yellow & Green Ranger enter the Megazord cockpit at last, ready to take out the bad guys. The assembled Turbo Zord combination then smashes right through the mutant automobile that had been firing at them.

The final Turbo Zord, Tommy's Red Lightning, gets ready to complete the docking procedure. It races into position, when Elgar gets in his way by pulling up in front of him. Divatox's nephew isn't about to let them win so easily, keeping Red Ranger from getting around him and hooking up with the rest of the Turbo Megazord. Tommy's stock car testing skills pay off, as he makes a break around the Elgar-mobile, speeding alongside. The drag racing takes place on the side of a mountain, below the cliff they ride upon is the set of four connected Turbo Zords, following the leader. Elgar gets a little bit of road rage, skidding up against Red Ranger's vehicle. Tommy needs to throw the annoying henchman off, so he reaches down and pulls a booklet out from his glove box. Quickly skimming through his manual, he's reminded on the button to press to shift his Zord into Turbo. The backend of Red Lightning opens up, and the head of the Turbo Megazord faces toward Elgar's truck. He glances over and gets a giant surprise, distracting him long enough for it to be too late until he crashes right into a boulder in the road! The preceding explosion takes him out of the race, giving Tommy a chance to speed off the cliff and land his Zord perfectly in place with the others. Docking is finally finished, Red Ranger now in the cockpit with his teammates. They give themselves a hand at a job not done well, but done at last. Time to initiate Turbo Megazord, each Ranger inserting their key into a slot, turning them to make the entire Zord structure Turbo up. The wheels brake, and the combined Zords flip upwards, transforming into the Turbo Megazord. With a flash of lightning around it, the Megazord stands whole, scaring off a beaten and bandaged Elgar. His team of mutant trucks rolls off in retreat, waving white flags behind them. The Rangers hop to their feet inside the cockpit, cheering over a victory won without even having to battle in the Megazord! They teleport back to the Power Chamber, witnessing Alpha rushing around pressing buttons. Zordon gives them the lowdown, Divatox's device has accelerated the wormhole closing to the degree that they must leave now if they are to get to Eltar. He tells them words can't express the gifts they've given him, and the people of Earth. They will miss them all dearly, but the time to say good-bye is now. Lerigot aims his Golden Key above his head, as sparkling energy flows out and circles around Zordon's big blue head. It engulfs him, before streaming out taking Zordon with it. Alpha says so long to the Rangers, he misses them already. He Ay-yi-yi's, as the sparkles cover him, teleporting the fully sentient multifunction automaton off planet Earth. The two groupings of their life energies float freely about, the Rangers speaking their own good-byes as their two longtime mentors beam out of the Power Chamber through the opening at the top. They streak into space, approaching the wormhole to Eltar without haste. Alarms sound in the PC, Divatox's device is still causing the wormhole to collapse. Tommy's question of what will happen to their friends if it closes is answered by Lerigot, they'll both be gone forever. The Turbo Rangers stand silently at the possibility of losing Alpha 5 & Zordon, this time in a bad way!

Amphibitor
Amphibitor growls while guarding the wormhole closing device. Two little kids bump into him, and he scares them off without having to move one greet leg! The Rangers locate the monster, needing to put a stop to that device and the monster, fast! They Morph back to action, teleporting over to encounter Amphibitor upclose. He calls them the Jellybean Patrol, not about to give up his mission until the wormhole is slammed shut. He whips out a giant butter knife & fork, leaping toward our heroes and putting those dangerous utensils to bad use! The Rangers get tossed around by the eager Amphibitor, Blue Ranger making a run for the device during the commotion. Amphibitor takes a moment from battle to fire a laser blast off from his knife, striking Justin down in his tracks! On the Subcraft, Divatox grows impatient with Amphibitor, asking Rygog if he loaded the torpedoes. One & Two are ready, Diva asking Porto if they'll do what he said they would. Porto always guarantees his work will work, she's giddy with evil, ordering Rygog to fire away! With a push of a button, two giant torpedoes pop out of the Subcraft, launching from Angel Grove Lake, and streaking off through the air. Elsewhere, Amphibitor is still at our heroes, when he gets a surprise from the skies, the two torpedoes blasting down right onto him! They don't blow him to pieces, but they do blow him up to giant building wrecking size! The Power Rangers turn their attention to calling their Turbo Zords, which race out from their garage hangers under the city streets. The Rangers hop in, and do their linking up a lot quicker and smoother than the last time. Amphibitor stomps through Angel Grove with his giant stainless steel weapons, causing crowds to panic. The Turbo Megazord rides into action holding it's Turbo Saber, lifted up and boosted by the Mega Turbo Jets in it's feet. Speeding unrelentlessly, Amphibitor barely gets a chance to blink, as Turbo Megazord spin out is initiated. The Megazord twists around in a cyclone of fury, slashing through Amphibitor with it's Saber before coming to a grinding halt as the monster explodes right behind it! The Rangers enjoy their victory, as Divatox's device sudden shuts off and ceases beaming the wormhole dissolving ray. Our heroes return to the PC, asking Lerigot what happened to Zordon & Alpha. He tells them they made it home safely, before groaning a good-bye himself, teleporting back home to Liaria. The Turbo Rangers are left in an empty and lonely Power Chamber for the first time in their lives.

Tanya asks Kat, whom is staring at Zordon's empty plasma tube, if she's okay. She's fine, but just misses them both, now the Rangers are all alone. Suddenly, a voice from across the room sounds New York accent, beginning with a "yo-yo-yo". It appears to be Alpha 5, but is in fact Alpha 6, who just happens to have Alpha 5's new body. He's got a bit of an attitude, but he's the newest in a long line of Alpha robots, there to fill in some pretty big Robo-boots. Upon spotting Justin giving him a long look, Alpha 6 tells him to take a picture, it'll last longer. Without warning, a bright light begins to flash inside the Power Chamber. The Rangers & Alpha wander around trying to discover the source of this, finding it in the center of the room. A ghostly woman garbed in a flowing white robe and a white cloth covering her face appears from a bolt of light striking the ground, standing between the Rangers circled around her. Kat questions who the apparently mysterious but beautiful is, Alpha 6 explaining she's Dimitria of the planet Inquiris. Kat asks her does she know who they are, she replies by asking them if they know who they are. Tommy says the obvious, they're Power Rangers. She asks him is not who they are much more than Power Rangers? Are the questions they have the reasons their faces have such expressions? Adam mentions Zordon said he was sending someone to take his place, but they had no idea what to expect. She asks them if they would be surprised to learn there will be many unexpected events in their futures? The riddle speaking white robed woman then floats upward, forming herself inside of Zordon's plasma tube! She does what she does best, asking them if they're now surprised even more. Meanwhile on the Subcraft, Elgar is busily swatting at a flying fish that's gotten in (according to him, through their broken screen door). Divatox is beyond angry that Dimitria has made it to Earth. Elgar wonders what the deal is between the two, Divatox explaining Dimitria is the one person in the Galaxy she can't stand above all else. It all comes down to Diva being the embodiment of good, and Dimitria the embodiment of evil. Divatox now turns her plans for world domination on eliminating Dimitria as well as the Power Rangers! The flying fish lands atop Diva's head, Elgar creeps up behind her with the swatter at the ready.
[end credits]

_BLOOPERS:_
Tanya asks Kat about her Tudent teaching job. As a matter of fact, she'll be Tudent teaching... CUT!; Kat, helmetless but Morphed, pretties herself up in the camera, puckering her lips and fixing her hair; Elgar stands behind Porto, but can't deal with this much blubber on the set. He wobbles off, saying he needs some new legs; Kat rubs her teeth clean with her finger.
