_CAPSULE SUMMARY:_
As we saw last episode, Tommy is now helpless prisoner of the Machine Empire. He's morphed, and hooked up to a Brain Drain device, giving him selective amnesia. As a result, there's a very short but neat enough in theory, scene of Tommy being confronted by an "evil" White Ranger in his mind. Anyway, the whole point of this is for Gasket to make him forget about the Rangers, so he can be lead to believe that he, Tommy that is, is ruler of the Machine Empire, and the Zeos are his enemies.
Back on Earth, still no luck in locating Tommy, until Bulk & Skull report to everyone at the Juice Bar that they've been seeing a specter of the Red Zeo Ranger by the lake. Nobody buys it, cept the Power Teens. It's discovered this image of the leader of the Zeo Rangers is a lingering effect of the teleportation portal used to captured Tommy. Despite intervention by Cogs, Gold Ranger manages to get into the portal before it's shut off. Jason finds himself alone, on the Machine Empire's Skybase, on the moon, in an arena, with no way of getting out, nor getting help from the Rangers due to a force field shielding them from teleporting in. With dozens of monsters watching from the seats surrounding the arena, Gold Ranger takes on a monster called Altor, who is utilizing the Brain Drain's effects on Tommy's memory to draw upon the Red Zeo's entire fighting ability. Jason's able to defeat Altor, but the victory doesn't last long, now that . Gasket taunts the Rangers via a transmission from Video Vulture about everything that's happening in his arena. This transmission is even picked up by Lord Zedd, Rita, and their gang, while stopping for a break on their lunar road trip. Billy returns from Triforia, just in time to watch this broadcast helplessly with the other remaining Ranger teens.
Meanwhile, Bulk & Skull, having been pulled through the holographic portal earlier, were being held prisoner in a cell by the Machine Empire. They meet a half-man half-lizard warrior named Tritor, who had been captured by Gasket from his planet of Horath. Tritor believes Bulk & Skull to be great warriors like himself, and urges them to help him break out of there.
