_CAPSULE SUMMARY:_

Jason & Adam are roped into dancing in Tanya & Katherine's ballet rendition of the story of King Midas. Bulk & Skull desire to help out (and get a job which requires their keen detective skills), and are sent looking for golden items around town. Meanwhile, on the Machine Skybase, Louie Kaboom assumes total control over the Machine Empire, having Queen Machina & Prince Sprocket tossed in the dungeon by Cogs. He's inspired by this gold hunting, and sends down the Midas Hound monster, in the form of a small toy dog statue. Bulk & Skull find it at a garage sale, and accidentally discover it can turn anything into gold by merely rubbing it. The bumbling duo strike it rich, until the statue begins to turn everything in sight into solid gold. The Midas Hound is turned gigantic, making his transforming of everything to gold increase in scale as well. The Rangers attempt to stop it, and the Gold Ranger himself, Jason, becomes solid gold (until Billy restores him to normal, of course). Even the Super Zeozords wind up with parts of their bodies turned gold when trying to attack the Midas Hound! It's up to the Zeo Ultrazord to blast it to golden dust, thus restoring everything the glistens, back to normal. Bulk & Skull end up getting stuck in the ballet in Jason & Adam's place.

As for Rita, Zedd, Rito, Goldar, and Finster's antics in their winnebago on the moon, they drive over some scrap metal and get a flat. Followed by another soon after, mostly junk lying around from various astronaut moon landings.
